Dear Our Valued Customer,

We’ve received notification from Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) (TM’s notice: here that there has been spamming activities conducted by a small group of TM users which have affected many users IP being blacklisted by anti-spams organization. The spamming activities within TM’s Internet Protocol (IP) network have caused many TM users and customers unable to send emails from their mail server to companies which using the databases from the anti-spam organizations.

In order to resolve this issue, TM will block OUTBOUND Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) traffic or port 25 for all outgoing e-mails from the dynamic IP addresses effective from 15 January 2008. Only Outbound SMTP traffic from smtp.streamyx.com and smtp.tm.net.my will be permitted. According to TM, this will be done in phases, starting from Klang Valley area and it will be implemented nationwide progressively.
